About Freshwater

Freshwater Plantation is named after its role in World War Two supplying water to ships and R&R facility on Aore. The Aore Island 'Bat Cave' is located on Freshwater Plantation and is easily accessible from Santo. It's less than half an hour to the Pekoa International airport and a two hour fifty minute direct flight from Brisbane.

The Plantation has operated as a tourist attraction since 2017 after the owners spent five years developing the facilities which included building;
